Farewell to Stampede: Racing Royale
I’ve spent the past few years working at Sumo Digital, and from the very beginning of my time at this studio, one title has been a constant; Stampede: Racing Royale - a project that is very close to my heart. It’s something I’ve seen evolve and grow from its earliest blockouts and prototypes to the final product. My first games release working in the games industry.
But, on March 12th 2025, it was publicly announced that the game will be sunsetted.
Stampede: Racing Royale launched on July 11th 2024, and will be sunsetted in the summer of 2025.
This marks the end of something special, made even more difficult by the fact that the studio is going through layoffs at the same time.
